About Wesley

Wesley Riddle is an entrepreneur, small business attorney, and a real estate finance specialist. Wes graduated from the Southern Methodist University (SMU) School of Law in 2009, but he didn’t go directly into legal practice. Instead, he opted to gain real-life business experience first. This insight allows him to better understand his clients so that he can anticipate issues before they become big headaches.

After law school, Wes founded the Roots Memphis Farm Academy. In addition to performing all of the legal work, Wes served as CEO of the organization and was responsible for marketing, sales, fundraising and strategic business development. Wes also managed a full-time staff and dozens of independent contractors. During this time, Wes also taught small business and entrepreneurship courses to aspiring small-scale farmers and lectured on local economic issues for the University of Memphis.

As an attorney, Wes helps small business owners of all stripes with start-up counseling, general transactional and commercial contract matters, operating agreements, purchase and sale agreements, mergers and acquisitions, partnership disputes and more.

Wes also has a special interest in real estate. He received a Master’s degree in Real Estate Finance from the Johns Hopkins School of Business. In addition to managing his own portfolio of residential and commercial properties, he has helped other real estate investors with structuring their investment, fundraising, partnership formation, purchase agreements, leasing and more.
