About Eleanor
Eleanor Curry is an attorney with a passion for entrepreneurship and community. Unlike most lawyers, she didn’t jump into law school straight after college. Instead, she attended Florida A&M University’s accelerated MBA program, where she learned the opportunities that come by taking chances.
Upon returning home to Houston after graduation, she helped her family’s business and learned the ups and downs of operating a small business firsthand by managing the ophthalmology practice for Florence Wooten MD. Then, within her family’s brokerage firm, she became a commercial and residential real estate broker, as well as the marketing and education liaison for the firm. Over the course of her 14-year professional matriculation, she wanted to help others pursue the entrepreneurial dream, so she attended law school at South Texas College of Law as a part-time student.
Upon graduation, she formed The Curry Law Firm where she helps small business owners achieve their goals. Her previous business experience helps her serve a broad range of clients, but her experience as a real estate broker gives her an edge in real estate transactions.
Eleanor’s commitment to service in her community includes serving as President of the Young Leaders of the Intown Chamber of Commerce, a member of the Urban League, NBMBAA, Junior League, Houston Young Lawyers Association, and a board member of ICON Women’s Organization. She strives to build strong networks because the cardinal rule to delivering a service is to make genuine connections with people, listen to their needs, and provide an insightful solution that solves that need.
Eleanor Curry resides in Third Ward, Houston, Texas where she also works to renovate and revitalize older properties.
